Dying Light expansion “The Following” increases in scale, cost

Techland has today announced that its upcoming expansion for Dying Light, “The Following”, has increased in scale and therefore will have to increase in price from what was originally announced.

The good news about the announcement? That price increase doesn’t come in to effect until 8 December, so those keen still have two weeks to pre-order at the original price.

Techland claims that “The Following” could be a stand-alone title, such is the scope, and for that reason are increasing the price from $14.99 USD to $19.99 USD. The expansion will be free for all season pass holders. Said season pass price will also be increased to $29.99 USD on 8 December.

It is nice to see a developer and publisher so transparent about upcoming content, it continues a nice trend with support for Dying Light. While any price hike is unfortunate those who like the game (and trust the developers) enough aren’t getting rorted here.

“The Following” arrives in early 2016 and requires the original Dying Light, available now for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
