The Division 2 day one update will be a download of up to 94GB, Ubisoft has recently confirmed.
Taking to a notification page that detailed download sizes of both the day one update (Title Update 1) and Title Update 1.5, Ubisoft listing the following:
- Xbox One: 48-52GB download (day one) plus 2GB download (Title Update 1.5)
- PS4: 88-92GB download (day one) plus 2GB download (Title Update 1.5)
- PC: 48-52GB download (day one) plus 2GB download (Title Update 1.5)
From Ubisoft’s wording, it appears that those who buy a physical copy of the game will still be saddled with the 42-92 GB day one update plus the 2GB from Title Update 1.5. The second download is actually available from 12 March here in Australia — the same time Gold Edition owners can start playing — though most of us will be grabbing both when the game hits retail stores on 15 March. Theoretically, those updates will constitute the final digital download size of the game for those who forego discs.
It’s unclear as to why the download is much larger on PS4 as compared to Xbox One and PC.
The Division 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 15 March.
