DICE producer admits Battlefield 4 troubles lost the trust of gamers

In an interview with Gamespot, DICE LA producer David Sirland admits that the studio “lost trust” from players following the rough launch of Battlefield 4 on all systems. He goes on to state that DICE are committed to earning back that trust, saying “I think we have to do things to get them to trust us, not say things to get them to trust us. Show by doing.”

It places a lot of pressure on the upcoming launch of Battlefield: Hardline, the next game in the franchise due out March 2015. EA have already delayed the game once to take in player feedback from a beta back in June, and a second beta later this year will give them a further chance to get things right. A lot of players will be taking a “wait and see” approach to the launch, and anything but a stable, relatively bug free release will be met with fierce backlash.
