More details on Koei Tecmo’s TGS showing

Koei Tecmo had a busy showing at the Tokyo Game Show, with more information now available on four of their upcoming titles, and promises they will come to the West (but with no release dates announced outside of Japan).

Dead of Alive 5: Last Round is the final iteration on 2012’s Dead or Alive 5, debuting the series on PS4 and Xbox One and also available as a digital download for PS3 and Xbox 360. This update to Team Ninja’s long running fighting series includes a new stage and updated high definition graphics. It arrives in Japan autumn 2015.

Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires continues the strategy focused expansion line to the long running brawler series. Empires games shift the focus from individual historical figures to player created characters and are inspired by the Romance of the Three Kingdoms strategy games. Empires arrives in Japan Q1 2015 for PS4, Xbox One and PS3.

Also detailed were a PS4/Xbox One/PS3 sequel to 2007’s middle age action strategy hybrid Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War, tentatively titled Bladestorm: Nightmare, and PS Vita RPG Toukiden Kiwami, sequel to 2013’s Toukiden: The Age of Demons. No, I hadn’t heard of it either, but the Japanese medieval fantasy setting sounds interesting.
