Destiny 2 bulk shader deletion and extra vault slots will be deployed to Guardians in August ahead of September’s release of Forsaken, Bungie today confirmed.
Bulk shader deletion and 200 additional vault slots — highly sought after changes — will be deployed on 28 August, alongside weapon slot changes, Milestone and Challenge updates, Director updates and Heroic story missions.
Bungie has said the 28 August update will be a Forsaken preload ahead of the actual expansion on 4 September.
Forsaken will kick off Destiny 2‘s Year 2 content, with the corresponding 2.0.0.1 update bringing Gear collections, in-game Triumphs, weapon randomisation, three new Crucible maps and more.
“It should be noted that not everything in Update 2.0.0.1 will become available on September 4,” Bungie’s DeeJ wrote in a blog post. “There are special events like Iron Banner that will be scheduled at a later date.”
Destiny 2 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4. Guardians are currently hard at work grinding available Moments of Triumph milestones.
