Death Road to Canada delayed due to Toronto vehicle attack

Update: Ukiyo Publishing has confirmed that 8 May will be Death Road to Canada‘s new release date across Xbox One, PS4 and Switch.

Original story: Death Road To Canada, a randomly-generated road trip game with zombies, has been delayed over the horrific vehicular attack that has killed at least ten pedestrians.

“We feel it would be deeply inappropriate to launch the game at such a time,” Paul Hann of Ukiyo Publishing said in a statement. “We would like to express our deepest condolences to everyone affected by the tragic events in Toronto.”

Hann also said “that releasing a game with this name two days later would have been insensitive for those directly and indirectly involved in the event.”

Alek Minassian, 25, has been charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder and 13 counts of attempted murder after driving a van down a pedestrian sidewalk in Toronto’s bustling Yonge Street earlier this week.

Death Road to Canada, developed by Rocketcat Games and due for release today on Xbox One, PS3 and Switch, has been delayed to a date in the future that has yet to be named.

Our best wishes go out to those affected by this terrible event.
