Time to dismember.
The Dead Space release window has been set, with EA and Motive declaring the remake will become available in early 2023.
Today’s release window news comes alongside a new deep dive that explores improvements to audio within the title.
A livestream, embedded below, focused “on the studio’s philosophy for taking Dead Space’s award-winning audio design to the next level by bringing the game to today’s generation of platforms and the new Frostbite engine,” according to the pair. In particular, a new A.L.I.V.E. system will control Isaac’s heartbeat, breathing and dialogue delivery.
This is coupled with audio occulusion, which controls audio levels as sound bounces on different surfaces and moves down hallways, and new effects for Dead Space‘s multitude of weaponry.
The Dead Space remake is planned for Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5 in early 2023.
