Dead Space livestream details coming changes

A Dead Space developer livestream took place overnight, and we’ve all the juicy goss for the presentation for you below (alongside the presentation itself).

It was today confirmed that EA Motive’s remake will star Gunner Wright as the voice of Issac Clarke, reprising his role from Visceral’s original trilogy.

Whereas Clarke was largely silent in the original Dead Space, he’ll get more dialogue for this remake, Motive has confirmed.

Moreover, Motive explained that necromorph enemies will essentially display how much health they have by the meat hanging off their bones, and that Clarke’s various weapons will be more unique in the ways in which they impact enemies. Improvements to the remake’s graphics and lighting systems were also showcased, with Motive confirming that it is trying to make the game a seamless, end-to-end experience. It will remain similar to the original title but replace dated ideas with more modern sensibilities.

If you can deal with influencers asking monotone questions off cue cards to EA Motive, you can watch the full livestream below.

The Dead Space remake is planned for Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5. Rumours have suggested the title will be released in 2022.
