Dead by Daylight Portrait of a Murder adds new killer, survivor

Say hello to The Artist and Jonah Vasquez.

Dead by Daylight Portrait of a Murder is the game’s newest chapter and will add a new killer named The Artist alongside a survivor named Jonah Vasquez.

Portrait of a Murder is Dead by Daylight going back to its roots: an original story and universe, set in mystery, dark fantasy and fear,” said Creative Director Dave Richard. “The new characters are also unique and diverse, which is part of our DNA, and representative of our player base.”

The chapter will pit The Artist, a “gifted but tormented Chilean painter” named Carmina Mora, against a Mexican-American CIA codebreaker named Jonah Vasquez. The Artist can spawn Birds of Torment, crows that are able to inflict damage upon survivors. Jonah’s perks include increased movement speed, can fix failed skill checks and can create Boom Totems.

Portrait of a Murder also comes with a new map, The Forsaken Boneyard, which is set in a Chilean desert graveyard. We can expect the new chapter sometime in November.

The news also comes as developer Behaviour Interactive confirmed that Dead by Daylight would be heading to the Epic Games Store on PC.

Dead by Daylight is available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
