"Perfect for a scary cinematic adaptation."
A Dead by Daylight movie is coming from masters of horror, Blumhouse.
The project will be developed by Blumhouse in partnership with Atomic Monster and game developer Behaviour Interactive.
Atomic Monster praised the asynchronous horror title’s “incredible environment teeming with atmosphere and terrifying villains,” calling it “perfect for a scary cinematic adaptation”.
No writers or directors have been attached to the project as yet, though Blumhouse said it’s looking for “someone who appreciates and loves the world as much as we do, to help us bring the game to the big screen.”
This news comes after Blumhouse announced it’s dipping its toes into video games proper through Blumhouse Games.
Dead by Daylight is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
