Until Dawn, a PS3 title announced two years ago at Gamescom, had now been transitioned to the PS4.
The game features eight friends in a remote mountain location, Friday the 13th-style and complete with things that go bump in the night.
The game stars Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Rami Malek (Need for Speed) and Brett Dalton (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) amongst others.
“We re-designed, re-built and re-wrote the game so now you have a more mature, darker and fundamentally more terrifying experience on PS4,” Pete Samuels said of the game on the PlayStation Blog. “One of the first changes you’ll notice, apart from how much more beautiful it now looks and sounds, is that we’ve moved from first person to third person perspective.
This appears to be the game teased under the #PlayStationGC hashtag.
Until Dawn will take advantage of the same engine used in PS4 launch title Killzone: Shadow Fall.
A release date for the title is not yet known.
