Dark Souls is getting an amiibo for Nintendo Switch

Update: Nintendo Australia has confirmed the amiibo will be exclusive to its eBay store.

“On the same day, a limited quantity of an amiibo figure based on Solaire of Astora will be released exclusively on the Official Nintendo AU/NZ eBay Store,” Nintendo advised via press release.

“By tapping this amiibo, the popular “Praise the Sun” gesture can be used with reckless abandon from the start of the game. (The gesture can also be obtained through regular gameplay.)”

Original story: Dark Souls Remastered will feature an amiibo in its Nintendo Switch version.

The amiibo, Solaire of Astoria, will allow players to easily perform the ‘Praise the Sun’ emote. Important, eh?

Moreover, Nintendo confirmed that Dark Souls Remastered will offer a network test ahead of launch. We’re awaiting further details.

Dark Souls Remastered is available from 25 May on Xbox One, PS4 and Switch. The title will display in 1080p resolution in TV mode and 720p in handheld mode; both will run at 30fps.
