The Cuphead Show TV series heads to Netflix in 2020

The Cuphead Show TV series will head to Netflix in 2020, it’s recently been confirmed.

The animated show, done in the same 30s-inspired animation that features inside the Cuphead game, will feature both Cuphead and his partner Mugman. The series is produced by King Features Syndicate.

“The new series will expand on the characters and world of Cuphead, with an animation style inspired by the classic Fleischer cartoons from the 1930s. For King Features, CJ Kettler will serve as the Executive Producer and creators Chad and Jared Moldenhauer will serve as Executive Producers for Studio MDHR,” Netflix said in a press release.

“The series will be produced by Netflix Animation and is executive produced by Emmy and Annie Award-winning producer, Dave Wasson (Mickey Mouse Shorts) and Cosmo Segurson (Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling) serves as co-executive producer.”

Studio MDHR’s first batch of Cuphead DLC, Delicious Last Course, will also be available in 2020. Cuphead is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and Switch.
