Crytek’s Back to Dinosaur Island VR demo available free on Steam

Crytek debuted Back to Dinosaur Island at GDC 2015 and has now released the VR tech demo on Steam for free.

In Back to Dinosaur Island, players step into the newly born shoes claws of a dinsoaur. By moving their head, players will be able to view their nest, the surrounding jungle and more. They’ll also be able to interact with certain elements like other eggs, a drago fly and a T-Rex.

The VR tech demo is Crytek’s basis for upcoming VR title Robinson: The Journey. An Oculus Rift DK2 is required and supports SDK Version 0.6 or 0.7. The Steam page notes that 0.8 support is coming soon.

Back to Dinosaur Island is available now on Steam.
