Bungie announced today when players will get to take on hard mode in Destiny’s latest raid Crota’s End.
From next Thursday 22 January, hard mode will be unlocked giving players a greater challenge and offering up brand new loot. New weapons players can earn inlcude Abyss Defiant auto rifle, Fan of Ir Yut scout rifle, Oversoul Edict pulse rifle and Word of Crota hand cannon. Completing Crota’s End on hard mode is the only way to earn the Crux of Crota which is need to upgrade the Eidolon Ally (previously called Husk of the Pit) and turn it into the Nechrochasm.
According to Bungie, “If you’ve experienced Hard Mode in Vault of Glass, you have some clues for how we can scale up a Raid. Prepare to take better care of your teammates. You’ll have fewer options for healing yourself, and each other. The enemies you’re about to face are stronger and more prone to temper tantrums.”
Hard mode unlocks for Crota’s End 5am 22 January 2015.
Destiny is available now for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
