Cricket 19 Ultimate DLC coming 16 July

With a new game mode, a new team and more.

Cricket 19 Ultimate DLC will head to the Big Ant game from tomorrow, 16 July, the studio today revealed.

The DLC, priced at $14.95 AUD, will be available on Windows PC, Xbox and PlayStation (so skipping Switch) and adds a new game mode called The Hundred alongside a new international team, the Carribbean Premiere League, 200 licensed players and three new stadiums.

The Hundred is a rather new short-form cricket competition in which players can draft a fantasy team and have a crack.

“This is the full The Hundred experience,” Ross Symons, CEO of Big Ant Studios said. “We’ve gone out and recreated three more stadia in the UK, so fans will be able to play along with the complete competition, while testing their own management and playing skills in building up their perfect team.

“Our goal has always been to give cricket fans the full experience, and The Hundred represents an exciting new format for the game that we have been looking forward to implementing for a while now,” he continued. “It’s also the first time that we’ve brought DLC to a cricket game. We have fans that have played Cricket 19 for thousands of hours, and they have been asking us for ways to deepen their experience even more. We can’t wait for them to experience the excitement this DLC brings to the game.”

Moreover, a free patch will also be available at the same time, offering a new “All the Best” mode with various challenges and an emotes system. The patch sadly skips the Nintendo Switch as well; Big Ant declined to detail why that was the case.

Cricket 19 is available now on Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Switch; we reviewed it here.
