In Nintendo’s Smash Bros. Direct today it was announced that players can now control the Wii U version by using a 3DS as the controller without having to own the 3DS version of Smash Bros.
The new Smash Controller app is available right now on the Nintendo eShop for $1.30 AUD and is compatible with the latest version of Smash Bros. for Wii U. It will allow the Wii U version to register the 3DS and be used as a controller, much like when linking the 3DS and Wii U versions.
Smash Bros. is available now for Wii U and 3DS and the Smash Controller app is available now for 3DS.
