The Control Resonant release date set has been set for 24 September 2026, so mark those calendars!
“Manhattan is under attack by otherworldly forces. Humanity’s only shot at survival is Dylan Faden, who has to remember how to be human again himself,” reads a description attached to the game’s new release date trailer. “But can he let go of the echoes of the past? And can he do it before all is lost to the Hiss?”
Check out the trailer below.
“The trailer explores Dylan Faden’s (played by Sean Durrie) dramatic journey as he is sent by the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) into the heart of a supernatural crisis,” Remedy said of today’s new showing. “A new, otherworldly form of resonance, alongside the Hiss and the Mold, is warping the city as a mysterious cosmic force reshapes reality itself.
“For this mission, Dylan is joined by a new FBC ally Zoe de Vera, alongside returning fan favorites Simon Arish and Emily Pope from the original Control. With his sister, Federal Bureau of Control Director Jesse Faden, missing, Dylan must step into a role he was never prepared for – humanity’s last line of defense.”
Update: A new Control Resonant trailer also appeared at Summer Game Fest; it’s below.
“The Paranatural Manhattan Trailer reveals more of Control Resonant’s twisted version of the city of New York,” Remedy said of today’s trailer. “The trailer is narrated by Emily Pope, who returns from the original game as the acting director of the Federal Bureau of Control, working closely with main character Dylan Faden.”
Control Resonant is planned for a 24 September 2026 release on Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Mac via Steam and the Apple App Store, and consoles including Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5. We previewed the game here.
