How long can a developer tease its loyal fans for?!
After a group of fans discovered a possible The Witcher III teaser in the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer released last week, today CD Projekt RED released a blog post with a picture of sword belonging to Geralt, the beloved (and disgruntled) protagonist of The Witcher series.
Granted, CD Projekt did confirm they will be making an announcement about “a fully open world game with an intense story.” in Feburary, 2013, but fans will be fans and they will always speculate! While the journalist in me says, “Be patient,” the Geralt-loving RPG fan in me says, “Hell yes, more witcher action!”
To further drive the rumour train, CD Projekt has been flippantly encouraging fans to speculate about The Witcher III‘s announcement, going as far as saying things like “… if you are wondering what’s that in that picture above — well, we’ll leave it for your imagination to answer.”
