Capcom to raise employee salaries in fiscal year 2025

For once, news that isn't about layoffs!

Capcom has today announced it will raise the salary of new graduate hires “beginning in fiscal year 2025” alongside details of once-off payments and later raises for current employees.

The starting salary for a new graduate hire today is ¥235,000; that will be increased by ¥65,000 to ¥300,000 in the next fiscal year.

“With this increase in starting salary, Capcom is pursuing further investment in human capital and the acquisition of exceptional talent. In conjunction with the decision to raise starting salaries, Capcom will provide its current employees (including new employees that join in fiscal year 2024) with a one-time special payment as an investment in the people who support the future of the company,” Capcom added. “Further, Capcom plans to raise salaries over 5% on average in fiscal year 2024.

“Driven by its philosophy of being a Creator of Entertainment Culture that Stimulates Your Senses, Capcom will work to address the issues facing our society while aiming improve its corporate value and establishing a relationship of trust with employees and stakeholders,” the publisher continued.

This news comes after Capcom announced it would hold two livestreams later in March, detailing titles in the Monster Hunter franchise alongside Dragon’s Dogma 2, Street Figher 6 and more.
