Cal gets to keep his Fallen Order powers in Star Wars Jedi Survivor

Padawan no more.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor protagonist Cal Kestis will get to keep his powers from Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order because that makes sense, really.

Speaking with GamesRadar, Design Director Jason de Heras said that Cal will continue his journey in the sequel rather than getting a reset.

“We knew we wanted his skills to continue in Survivor, and that was one of the challenges,” de Heras said.

“We had to kind of tweak enemies to handle his new powers from the start,” he continued. “We don’t want to take away those moves, because they feel good. You can’t go backwards, and feel like a Padawan. It has to feel that the power level is the same, but also, you have to reach another level.”

“It’s been five years since Fallen Order, and we want the player to feel like Cal has been through a lot. He’s no longer a Padawan,” added Senior Director Kasumi Shishido.

Expect Star Wars Jedi Survivor from 28 April on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5.
