Nintendo Australia has confirmed that those who buy Mario Kart 8 on Wii U before the end of July 2014 will be eligible for a free download of one of ten additional Wii U games.
Not Virtual Console games, but full-fledged ones. Relatively new titles, at that.
The free games you can choose from include Nintendo Land, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Game & Wario, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Sonic Lost World, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, Wii Party U and New Super Mario Bros U.
To be eligible for the promotion, gamers will need to be members of Club Nintendo. The eShop will walk you through the additional download if you’re buying Mario Kart 8 digitally. Retail copies of the game will come with a code that can be redeemed for the free download.
The promotion was announced during a special Mario Kart 8-themed Nintendo Direct.
