Bungie breaks silence on Halo composer Marty O’Donnell’s termination

Late last night, Bungie confirmed that Marty O’Donnell no longer was employed at the company.

While steering clear of O’Donnell’s allegation that he’d been “terminated without cause”, Bungie took to their blog to confirm the news.

“For more than a decade, Marty O’Donnell filled our worlds with unforgettable sounds and soundtracks, and left an indelible mark on our fans. Today, as friends, we say goodbye. We know that wherever his journey takes him, he will always have a bright and hopeful future.

“We wish him luck in all his future endeavors,” they said.

O’Donnell composed music for classics like Halo, and was doing the same for the upcoming Destiny.
