Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel grinding bug hotfixed, permanent fix coming in next game update

A bug in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel that came about as a result of the latest patch has been hotfixed and will be permanently remedied in the next game update.

On 27 January, Lady Hammerlock was introduced in the “Lady Hammerlock Pack” and an unexpected result was that placing three items of purple rarity into the Grinder could crash the game. A patch released in November introduced the ability to grind three purple items.

Gearbox advised that PS3 and Xbox 360 players refrain from downloading the most recent patch while PC players could play in Steam offline mode. The hotfix should enable players to reconnect and play online, but Gearbox cautions that it is at players’ own risk.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is available on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will launch for PS4 and Xbox One as part of The Handsome Bundle in March.
