Blizzard announces Overwatch beta

Blizzard’s upcoming team based shooter Overwatch is heading to beta on 27 October, with sign-ups available now over at Battle.net. The initial beta will be limited but Blizzard also announced plans for a number of test weekends open to the public to stress test their systems.

North America will be the only region offered the beta initially but rollout to Europe and Asia is expected soon after. The test weekends will begin sometime after BlizzCon in early November. The beta will be Windows exclusive and players will need to have the Battle.net desktop app installed to play.
