Big name developers and publishers working on iPhone 6 games

Alongside the announcement by Apple today of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, the tech giant also revealed that a swathe of game developers and publishers were working on games for the new smart phone.

Those confirmed to be working on games for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus include EA, Disney, CD Projekt Red, Rebellion, Ubisoft, Square Enix and Epic. Details of what these games are was not announced, but a video from Super Evil Megacorp showed off their iOS MOBA Vainglory.

At Apple’s announcement event, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller unveiled the new game development environment for iPhone 6, Metal 3D. He claimed the new SDK would outperform the previous iOS development environment, OpenGL API.

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will launch in Australia 19 September.
