Bethesda won’t replace E3 2020 press conference with digital offering

Bethesda will not be replacing its E3 2020 press conference with a digital offering, Pete Hines has recently confirmed.

Taking to Twitter, Bethesda’s Hines said that, “Given the many challenges we’re facing due to the pandemic, we will not host a digital Showcase in June. We have lots of exciting things to share about our games and look forward to telling you more in the coming months.”

E3 2020 was officially cancelled last month over growing concerns related to the COVID-19 coronavirus. Since that announcement, publishers like Microsoft, Ubisoft and Devolver have confirmed they will offer a pre-recorded or live digital conference in place of planned physical activities.

Projects in the pipeline for Bethesda include Starfield, The Elder Scrolls 6, Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo. The company launched Doom Eternal late last month.
