Batman Arkham Origins studio working on open-world DC game

Warner Bros. Montreal, the studio behind Batman Arkham Origins, is working on a new open-world DC game according to an employee at the studio.

Speaking to the Humans of Gaming podcast, Warner Bros. Montreal Senior Designer, Osama Dorias, made the confirmation.

“The project I just recently left, because there are a couple projects at [WB Games Montreal], the only thing I can say about is it’s a major console game, open-world, DC Universe — so that’s really awesome,” Dorias said.

“But I can’t really say anything else. It’s too early, it’s not announced yet. But it’s really kickass.”

Back in May, rumours swirled that suggested Batman: Arkham Asylum developer Rocksteady was working on an open-world Superman game. It’s unclear if the two projects are related.

We’ll, of course, have more on this project as it develops. In the meantime, what are you hoping for from a new, open world DC Universe game?
