Back 4 Blood delayed into October 2021

Another one bites the dust.

Back 4 Blood has been delayed and will now debut in October 2021, developer Turtle Rock has today confirmed.

“Turtle Rock Studios is working hard to make Back 4 Blood the best game it can possible be at launch and the team needs more time to do this,” a post reads.

“Therefore, we will release Back 4 Blood on October 12, 2021,” the post continued. “We thank our community for its continued support and are excited to share that there will be an open beta this summer.”

The title, a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, was originally planned for a June 2021 release and has previously invited a select group of players to an alpha test that took place in late 2020.

Back 4 Blood now heads to Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5 on 12 October 2021.
