Apex Legends’ Beast of Prey event launched this morning

New skins, new mode, NEW WEAPON!

An Apex Legends limited time Beast of Prey Collection Event launched at the unceremonious hour of 3.00 am this morning and is set to run until 4 October.

Along with a gaggle of new cosmetics and skins which, for legal purposes, definitely don’t make you The Predator (they totally make you The Predator), fans can get stuck into a new Limited Time Game Mode.

Gun Run is — for all intents and purposes — Apex Legends’ answer to the popular Gun Game from the Call of Duty franchise. Four squads go head-to-head with each kill swapping you to a new weapon type. Players must perform the game winning kill with a newly introduced throwing knife which they can practice with at the firing range.

Apex Legends’ Beast of Prey event also features a new rewards track to help you unlock all 24 exclusive rewards for the event. Progress on this stacks with the current battle pass. Players who collect all 24 rewards will receive receive Loba’s Heirloom, the “Garra de Alanza”.

All 24 items will be also be available through direct purchase (for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals) and in Beast of Prey Event Apex Packs for the duration of the event.

The icing on top of all this new content is a number of balance patches, bug fixes and quality of life changes that you can check out here.

Happy hunting.

Apex Legends is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
