Aliens Fireteam is a three-player survival shooter coming this year

Yes please.

Aliens Fireteam is an three-player cooperative PvE survival shooter pitting Colonial Marines against the Xenomorphs.

Set in 2202 on the USS Endeavor, a Colonial ship that’s been charged to investigate the planet LV-895, Fireteam looks to do its best to channel Aliens vibes.

“Face off against waves of terrifying Xenomorph and Weyland-Yutani Synthetic foes alongside two players or AI teammates, as you and your fireteam desperately fight your way through four unique campaigns that introduce new storylines to the Alien universe,” developer Cold Iron Studios said of its latest.

“Create and customize your own Colonial Marine, choosing from an extensive variety of classes, weapons, gear and perks, battling overwhelming odds in this heart-pounding survival shooter experience.”

The shooter will offer up over 20 enemy types including 11 different Xenomorphs and Weyland-Yutani creations. In a series of screenshots, we’ve already spotted Facehuggers, a Praetorian and maybe a Queen too.

In terms of your titular Fireteam, you and two friends will be able to choose between five classes: Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc and Recon.

“Each [come] with their own special abilities and character perks,” Cold Iron continued. “Utilize an extensive arsenal of 30+ weapons and 70+ mods/attachments in your effort to eradicate the Alien threat. An innovative Perk Board modifies and improves your abilities, while a unique Challenge Card system alters the approach to each Campaign mission, offering a new experience with every playthrough.”

Aliens Fireteam is planned for a mid-2021 release on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, PS4 and PS5. Check out a trailer and screenshots below.
