Bandai Namco has released a trailer for upcoming Tekken 7: Fated Retribution and in it revealed that Street Fighter’s Akuma will be a playable character in the 3D fighter.
The trailer shows Heihachi’s wife talking to a silhouette who is eventually revealed to be Akuma. It proceeds to show off his signature moves from Street Fighter and gives an idea of how characters from Capcom’s title could work in 3D.
Tekken x Street Fighter was announced in 2010 alongside Street Fighter x Tekken. The latter was released in 2012, while the former is still MIA.
Tekken 7 was released in arcades in Japan in March 2015 and Fated Retribution will be an update to the title. It will be released for PlayStation 4 in 2016.
