Capcom files trademark for Onimusha

Capcom has filed a trademark for Onimusha, its long neglected action series from the PS2 era.

NeoGAF found the filing, and while the trademark could be for anything, with the PSX show around the corner speculation is rife that an announcement of some kind will be made regarding the franchise.

The Onimusha series has been relegated to mobile games in recent times, the last console release coming in 2006 with Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. A remake or re-release of these older games is the best bet, though it could be Capcom just covering their bases. Perhaps we will find out this weekend at the Playstation Experience.
