Downloading the free PS+ version of King’s Quest may lock you out of bonus content

Downloading the free PS Plus version of King’s Quest Episode 1 may lock you out of the bonus epilogue, according to VG 24/7. That bonus epilogue is only available in the King’s Quest Complete Collection, which is not available to purchase for those who already own an episode of the game.

This epilogue is also not a part of the King’s Quest season pass, presumably designed as a bonus to encourage those who want the game to spend the $40 USD straight up on the Complete Collection rather than try the game first. While this is not confirmed and could in fact be a system bug (which would explain why an owner of the first episode can’t buy the Complete Collection), and Activision could offer another way to pick up the epilogue, for now it seems this method of encouraging a more expensive purchase has even more anti-consumer consequences.
