Can you embed MS-DOS games in tweets?

Wired yesterday reported that MS-DOS games can now be embedded — and played — within tweets.

According to the site, you need to grab the URL of any Internet Archive database game and throw it into a tweet. Voila!

Maybe.

Wired says this only works with desktop browsers, but this writer hasn’t been successful with any such tweets across three browsers. A Canadian reader has said the functionality is working for him, so maybe it’s region-locked at this point? That’s just a shot in the dark.

Still, when all else fails, just use the Internet Archive database’s actual embed code, eh?

If you’ll excuse me, I’ll be up there playing Oregon Trail.

Does this MS-DOS Twitter embed thing work for you? Let us know in the comments, below.
