Here are the 100+ shows that have recently been removed from Disney+

A range of shows have been removed from Disney+, including those on Hulu, Hotstar, ESPN, and Star, and this post gathers them up for you.

Aussies will be particularly impacted by a couple titles; perhaps the most notable of all is Fearless, which was a 2017 documentary that followed the AFLW.

The shows have already been removed, meaning if you’ve not seen them on the streaming service, you won’t get the chance to. If you’re keen to watch, your best bet is to see if physical media exists for the show you’re after.

Disney announced that the shows would become inaccessible on Disney+ back in May.

“We are in the process of reviewing the content on our DTC services to align with the strategic changes in our approach to content curation that you’ve heard Bob [Iger] discuss,” said Disney CFO Christing McCarthy (via What’s on Disney+).

“As a result, we will be removing certain content from our streaming platforms and currently expect to take an impairment charge of approximately $1.5 billion to $1.8 billion [USD],” McCarthy continued. “The charge, which will not be recorded in our segment results, will primarily be recognized in the third quarter as we complete our review and remove the content.”

Are there some Disney+ shows you’ve been on the hunt for that are now inaccessible? Sound off in the comments area, below.
