When do episodes of What If air in Australia?

The MCU goes animated in August.

What If, the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first real foray into animated television, is set to debut on Disney+ in August. As per usual, we’ve got all the info on when Australians can start streaming new episodes of the show.

All up, a total of ten episodes will stream exclusively on Disney+ where available, including Australia.

The show’s first episode will be available from 5.00 pm AEST on Wednesday, 11 August (which corresponds to 12.00 am PT in the USA). Following that, a new episode will be released each following week around the same time.

To recap, here’s what to expect and when:

  • Episode 1: 5.00 pm AEST, 11 August
  • Episode 2: 5.00 pm AEST, 18 August
  • Episode 3: 5.00 pm AEST, 25 August
  • Episode 4: 5.00 pm AEST, 1 September
  • Episode 5: 5.00 pm AEST, 8 September
  • Episode 6: 5.00 pm AEST, 15 September
  • Episode 7: 5.00 pm AEST, 22 September
  • Episode 8: 5.00 pm AEST, 29 September
  • Episode 9: 5.00 pm AEST, 6 October
  • Episode 10: 5.00 pm AEST, 13 October

The series stars the likes of Jeffrey Wright as Uatu/The Watcher, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter/Captain Carter, Michael B. Jordan as Erik Stevens, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and many, many more.

What If is a ten-episode Disney+ series that shows us how alternate branches of the Marvel Universe could have played out — think “What if Spider-Man had joined the Fantastic Four?” or “What if everyone in the MCU was a zombie?”
