All Mortal Kombat 1 beta Fatalities (and how to perform them!)

We had some fun this weekend...

A Mortal Kombat 1 beta is now open for those that have pre-ordered the game, and Warner Bros has graciously provided us access so we could check it out.

We — as you’d expect — focused on Fatalities during our playthrough, and thought we’d showcase them alongside a guide on how to perform them all.

All up, six characters are playable during the beta: Sub-Zero, Kenshi, Kitana, Liu Kang, Li Mei, and Johnny Cage. They’re joined by Kameos in Frost, Kano, Sonya and Jax. We recorded those six Fatalities as follows:

… and here’s how to perform the Fatalities on both Xbox and PlayStation:

  • Sub-Zero’s Hairline Fracture: Forward, Down, Down, Triangle/Y [Close]
  • Kenshi’s Blended: Forward, Down, Down, Triangle/Y [Close]
  • Kitana’s Royal Blender: Down, Forward, Down, Circle/B [Far]
  • Liu Kang’s Double Dragon: Down, Forward, Left, Circle/B [Close]
  • Li Mei’s Roman Candle: Forward, Back, Forward, X/A [Mid]
  • Johnny Cage’s Hollywood Walk of Pain: Forward, Back, Down, Triangle/Y [Close]

We didn’t record the Kameo Fatalities, but they’re available, as follows:

  • Frost’s Breaking Point: Back, Down, Back, R1/RB
  • Kano’s Heart Ripper: Back, Down, Forward, R1/RB [Close]
  • Sonya’s Kiss of Death: Back, Forward, Down, R1/RB [Far]
  • Jax’s Big Boot: Down, Down, R1/RB [Far]

Mortal Kombat 1 will be available from 19 September 2023 on Windows PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, alongside Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS5 and Switch. Jam Walker recently previewed the title as part of Summer Game Fest.
