All Queer Games Festival 2023 winners, shortlist & showcase titles

Let's celebrate representation and diversity in gaming.

The Queer Games Festival 2023 has concluded, and we’ve got all its winners, shortlisted titles and showcase titles below.

“This year was the strongest showcase ever,” organisers said of all the titles that made of the festival. “Games that would have been awarded medals in previous years missed the shortlist. Considering we close entries in July we join the wide chorus of mainstream game watchers as declaring 2023 an amazing year for quality games (which saw workers rewarded with mass layoffs).”

Queer Games Festival 2023 shortlisted titles

From the the list above, 25 titles were selected for the Queer Games Festival 2023 shortlist.

“As part of the festival, game developers can opt-in to have their games judged,” the event’s organisers said in a statement. “We’re always a little bit embarrassed by the idea of ‘ranking’ games. In our experience every game has something to offer.

“However a big reason the festival exists is to create space for queer games,” they continued. “A great way to create space online is by generating discussion through curation and contextualising. This is what the awards offer — an extra way of talking about this year’s queer games.”
