Assassin’s Creed Valhallla will eventually progress Sigurd’s storyline

But not in Siege of Paris.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans are practically begging Ubisoft Montreal for a continuation of the storyline of Eivor’s brother Sigurd, but they sadly won’t get that from its new Siege of Paris expansion.

Level Designer Bruno St-Andre told Stevivor that Ubisoft has “noticed that players are asking for those updates or news or developments on that storyline,” but Siege of Paris is “not going into the Sigurd storyline”.

“It will be [progressed] but it’s not taking place in Siege of Paris,” St-Andre said. “Wrath of the Druids and Siege of Paris are two expansions that don’t have the traditional expansion structure, where we position them at the end of the storyline; instead, they can be experienced before. They have a position in the flow of the game, but they aren’t tied to you finishing the story; therefore we made sure it wasn’t containing spoilers for the main game, and vice versa that we’re not locking part of that story behind a gate in the main game.”

St-Andre added that fans “can expect some development on that regard in the future.”

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Stadia. Siege of Paris debuts in a few short hours.
