EA today detailed three new ways in which EA Sports fans can play competitively across Madden titles.
Three new event types will cater to casual fans and professional players:
- Challenger events — Players can easily host their own tournaments.
- Premier events — EA will host these with major partners.
- EA Major events — Marquee live events run by EA on a global stage.
The first EA Major event will be Madden NFL 16 Championship, held in Los Angeles at E3. The Madden NFL 17 Championship series was also announced, offering up $1 milllion USD in prize money.
