If you’re a particularly dedicated Dota 2 player or just a fan of the game you’ll likely already know about The Compendium. This nifty book gives access to a host of game and player stats during the big four tournaments of this years International as well as rewarding collectors with a tonne of in-game items.
Well now those rewards are getting a bit more tangible with the developers announcing a special item to be sent out — for free — to any player who reaches or exceeds a Compendium level of 1000. “The Collector’s Aegis is a 1/5th scale alloy replica, with antique brass plating, of the winner’s trophy at The International. Inscribed on the back with the year and a gold finished insignia signifying this year’s theme.”
Hitting level 1000 in your Compendium takes a serious investment of time and/or money, so it’s nice of the Dota 2 team to give a little back. If you’re one of the lucky few who’s managed to hit those lofty heights already you can head over to this post to find out how to get yours. If you haven’t yet managed top make it to 1000 then you’ve got until the grand final of this years International to do so.
