Xbox One controller can now eject discs from the console

The Xbox One controller can now eject discs from the console thanks to a new update available to Xbox Insiders.

The new feature allows a user the opportunity to hover over a game or Blu-ray tile on the Xbox One homepage and then press “X” on their controller to have it ejected from the console.

If your Xbox One’s physical eject button is damaged — or you’re just too lazy to get up — and don’t have a paired voice command system like Google Assistant, Alexa or Cortana, we’d imagine you’d be jumping for joy right about now.

Microsoft today detailed the Xbox Series X’s specs — the console will boast 12 teraflops of GPU performance.
