System Shock remake coming May on PC; still no date for consoles

Delayed on PC... AWOL on console.

The System Shock remake has been delayed on PC, now aiming for a 30 May release instead of March.

While the delay is bad news for PC fans, it’s worse for those console: the remake doesn’t yet have a release date on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 or PS5.

“We had hoped to bring the game to market by the end of March, but that turned out to be just beyond our reach; we are after all merely human (unlike Shodan!),” Nightdive Studios and Prime Matter said in a press release.

Those who pre-order the PC version of System Shock will also receive a free copy of System Shock 2 Enhanced Edition.

Expect System Shock on PC from 30 May; a release on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5 is also planned.
