Where to begin on this one?
Earlier in the week, a QA tester from Traveler’s Tales (you know…the guys who’ve made every Lego game ever) posted a picture of a Wii U controller, above. It looked a bit different then the one we’d seen at E3 2011.
It’s since been reported by various sources that the poor photo-poster has since lost his job, and because of a violation of a non-disclosure agreement, might be on the receiving end of a lawsuit from Nintendo of America.
Yikes.
Avoiding all that depressing business, there are quite a few changes to that controller. The new version seems to have traditional twin analog sticks, shifted start and select buttons, and that fabulous Wii U branding that always seemed like it was missing.
Why try to explain the changes when someone on a Japanese bulletin board has just made a visual aid for us?
Considering there’s a job at stake, we think these controller changes are a real thing. Nevertheless, we’ll be able to confirm this at this year’s E3.
