4K Nintendo Switch rumoured for release in 2021

A 4K Nintendo Switch has been rumoured for release next year, Bloomberg states.

The publication cites anonymous sources who claim to have been briefed on the device, which seeks to keep the same form factor as the current Switch while offering up better processing power and the capability of 4K resolution.

The move by Nintendo is seen as a counter strategy to the 8K resolution that’s been advertised by both Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Sony’s PS5.

For now, Nintendo has chosen to remain silent on the matter but we’ll, of course, keep you posted as more is known. In the meantime, are you excited about the prospect of a 4K-capable Switch?
