Rainbow Six Siege available inside Xbox Game Pass

Update: That was quick — Siege is now available inside Xbox Game Pass for Console.

Original story: Rainbow Six Siege has been teased by Microsoft for inclusion in its Xbox Game Pass subscription program.

A tweet from the Xbox Game Pass Twitter account shows an image of a medieval siege with a rainbow — well, not only a single rainbow, but SIX of them — above it all. If that’s not Rainbow Six Siege, well then we don’t know what it is.

Back in February of this year, Game Director Leroy Athanassoff expressed interest in turning Siege towards a free-to-play model; while this isn’t it, it’s certainly one step closer.

This weekend’s tease comes after the confirmation that a free next-gen upgrade of Siege will be offered to players, displaying at 4K and offering 120 frames-per-second (FPS) with render scaling.

Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4; its Xbox Series X and PS5 version will be made available later in the year.
