PUBG has major changes coming in 2018

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was one of the biggest games of 2017 and this year they are looking to continue that trend. Today, Brendan ‘PlayerUnknown’ Greene has announced some major changes that are planned for the game over the next few months.

Here are a few things that will be coming to PUBG:

  • New 4×4 map will be deployed next month in the test server
  • New 8×8 map planned
  • Parachute and weapon skins
  • Emote System
  • New weapons
  • New weapon attachments
  • New vehicles
  • New game modes
  • Achievements
  • In-game friends list
  • Squad voice chat in the main menu
  • Limb and vehicle bullet penetration
  • Overhauling of the entire TPP and FPP animation systems
  • Overhaul for the parachuting system
  • Improved armed and unarmed melee combat systems
  • Live spectator tool enhancements
  • Stability, optimization, and security updates
  • Increase the detail of vehicle sounds
  • Custom game system improvements
  • Change the sound that the player produces while moving
  • Launch the PUBG Developer Portal and API tools

There are a lot of things in that list planned for this year and PlayerUnknown has said that isn’t all of them, there’s still more to come.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now on Windows PC and Xbox One.
