Halo Infinite Battle Pass functionality explained by 343

$10 USD a pop, swappable at any time and never expiring... sounds pretty good!

Halo Infinite Battle Pass functionality was recently detailed by 343, shedding new light on on how they’ll work in-game.

Speaking with IGN, 343 Industries confirmed that Battle Passes will set players back $10 USD (we’re working on Australian pricing now).

Infinite‘s first Battle Pass is called Heroes of Reach and will feature customisation options inspired by Bungie’s Halo Reach. Players can check out what’s within the Battle Pass before they purchase it, and as previously reported, the Battle Pass will never expire. This means a player can work words the contents of the pass at their own pace. Moreover, players will also be able to switch between owned passes as they choose.

343 said that “uncharacteristic emotes” like the Master Chief flossing will not be part of passes, and that free passes will offer up limited content for those not wishing to make further purchases.

Finally, 343 confirmed that challenges, as seen in recently multiplayer test flights, will return and offer more chances to earn customisation options.

Halo Infinite multiplayer, as a reminder, will be free-to-play. Expect the title (and single-player!) on Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series S & X from 8 December.
