Blizzard paves the road to BlizzCon with the Heroes of the Storm ANZ finals

The Heroes of the Storm ANZ finals take place this weekend with a share of the $32,000 AUD and a ticket to the American Championship on the line.

Two intense open qualifiers decided the top eight teams who will duke it out online in a double elimination best of three format to earn that precious ticket. The pool of local talent is strong and there’s sure to be some great games.

Whichever team takes out first place books their ticket to the American Championship in Anaheim, California. That takes place 6-7 November and puts them in the running for the $1.2 million USD prize pool, $500,000 USD of which will be up for grabs at BlizzCon.

You can tune in and support local Esports this Saturday 1 August from 11am onwards. Infurneaux, HappyRage and Maru (not the cat or the Korean Starcraft 2 pro) will be casting the event which you can watch at the official Twitch channel.
